THE HAZEL WOODS
This magical piece of natural hazel woodland is covered in blankets of moss and wild flowers catching the sunlight as it streams through the canopy above.
We have preserved this beautiful wood in its natural state providing an ideal location for educational nature walks and biodiversity talks as well as natural wedding ceremonies and gatherings. Over the coming years we will be building nesting boxes for different species of birds and creating new areas for biodiversity with dead wood and rock piles.

THE STORY SO FAR
We have cleaned up the forest floor allowing space for new plant and tree growth.
Soon the floor will be a carpet of bluebells all the way through the wood.
We have been clearing up the woodland floor and chopping out dead wood and fallen trees.
The dead wood has been stacked into piles to create habitat for fungi, insects and small mammals.
Bluebells are springing up all over the Hazel Wood creating a beautiful carpet of flowers swaying in the wind.
We will be making walk ways to be able to wonder through this lovely landscape without disturbing the natural environment
What a beautiful time of year, after all the leave have fallen we will collect these up for mulch on other new trees around the land.
